Our mantra around the workshop is an old Haitian proverb, "Men anpil, chay pa lou.
(Many hands make the load light.)

Haiti Design Co. was founded in 2014 with the goal to bring about sustainable development through design, training and job creation. They believe that there is a commonality between the designer, maker, and consumer and that when working together we can help lighten each other's load and bring about lasting positive impact.

Haiti Design Co. is unlike any other artisan group, they train their artisans to become entrepreneurs/business owners through their Artisan Incubator Program.
“Through this program, we desire to work hand-in-hand with our artisan leaders to provide the training and resources they need to become master craftsmen and women and to create products that can be competitive in the international marketplace. After truly becoming masters of their craft, these leaders are then able to start businesses and pass on their knowledge and skill-sets to community members in order to support their local economy and healthy family units through stable employment.”
Haiti Design Co. has partnered with Madewell, Tribe Alive, Causebox, and many others brands.
